1) Overview

This Store Policy applies to all products sold by Roof Mounts (“we/us/our”) through roofmounts.co.za. By placing an order, you agree to the terms below.

We are committed to delivering high-quality products and a fair, practical resolution if something goes wrong.

2) Orders and Payment

  • Orders are confirmed once payment clears (or once a successful card payment is authorised).

  • We may contact you to confirm product selection, delivery details, or fitment information before dispatch.

  • If an item is out of stock or delayed, we will inform you promptly and offer an alternative, backorder, or refund.

3) Pricing

  • Prices are displayed in ZAR and include/exclude VAT as shown on the product page.

  • Delivery fees (if applicable) are shown at checkout.

  • We reserve the right to correct obvious pricing errors. If this affects your order, you may cancel for a full refund.

4) Shipping and Delivery

Dispatch time: Orders typically dispatch within [1–2 business days] after payment confirmation (excluding public holidays).

Delivery time: Courier delivery typically takes [1–5 business days] depending on location.

Tracking: Tracking details will be provided where available.

Delivery address: Please ensure your delivery address and contact details are correct. If a parcel is returned due to incorrect details or failed delivery attempts, re-delivery costs may apply.

Collection: If collection is available, it must be arranged in advance at.

5) Inspection on Delivery (Important)

Please inspect your package as soon as possible after delivery:

  • If the packaging is visibly damaged, photograph it before opening.

  • If any items are missing, damaged, or incorrect, notify us within 48 hours of delivery with photos and your order number.

This helps us resolve courier claims quickly.

6) Returns, Exchanges and Refunds

We want you to buy with confidence, while also protecting product integrity.

6.1 Change-of-mind returns

You may return unused products within 7 days of delivery if:

  • The item is unused, uninstalled, and in resaleable condition

  • All original packaging, parts, and accessories are included

Non-returnable (change-of-mind) items include:

  • Items that have been installed, used, modified, or damaged after delivery

  • Products returned incomplete (missing parts/accessories)

  • Custom-made, special-order, or personalised items (if applicable)

Return shipping: Change-of-mind returns are shipped at the customer’s cost unless we agree otherwise.

Refund timing: Approved refunds are processed within [5–10 business days] after inspection. Refunds are made to the original payment method where possible.

6.2 Incorrect item ordered / fitment selection

If you ordered the wrong item, we can exchange it (subject to stock availability) provided the product is unused/uninstalled and returned in resaleable condition within 7 days.

If you are unsure about fitment, contact us before ordering and we will assist where possible.

7) Faulty, Defective, or Incorrect Items

If you receive a product that is defective or incorrect:

  • Notify us within 7 days of delivery (or within a reasonable time if a hidden defect appears later)

  • Provide photos/video and your order number

We will, at our discretion:

  • Repair the item, or

  • Replace the item, or

  • Refund the item

Where a fault is confirmed, we cover reasonable return shipping costs.

Important: Normal wear-and-tear, misuse, accidental damage, incorrect installation, modification, or use outside intended purpose is not covered.

8) Warranty

Unless otherwise stated on the product page, our products include a [12-month] limited warranty from date of delivery against manufacturing defects.

The warranty does not cover:

  • Incorrect installation or use

  • Overloading, impact damage, or abuse

  • Rust/corrosion caused by improper care or harsh environments without maintenance

  • Modifications, drilling, cutting, or alterations not authorised by us

Warranty claims require proof of purchase and, where relevant, photos/video.

9) Installation, Use, and Safety

  • Products must be installed and used according to any supplied instructions and common-sense safety practices.

  • Some products are vehicle-application specific. It is the customer’s responsibility to ensure suitability for the intended vehicle, model year, and configuration, unless we have confirmed fitment in writing.

  • For safety-critical use, we recommend professional installation where appropriate.

10) Cancellations

  • Orders can be cancelled before dispatch for a full refund.

  • If an order has already dispatched, it will be treated as a return (subject to the returns terms above).

11) Fraud Prevention

We reserve the right to request additional verification for high-value orders or suspicious activity. We may cancel and refund an order if verification is not provided.

12) Privacy and POPIA

We collect and use your personal information only to process orders, provide support, and comply with legal obligations. We do not sell your personal data.

Product Usage

Liability Limitations for Installation and Use:

We are not liable for any damage to roof tiles, including breakages, cracks, or water leaks, resulting from the installation or use of our products.
You are responsible for ensuring that the installation and use of our products comply with our guidelines and do not cause damage to your property.
Weight Capacity and Product Care:

Ensure that the mounted equipment does not exceed the specified weight limit of 11 kilograms to avoid the risk of damage or injury.
Regularly inspect the product for any signs of wear or damage and cease use if any such signs are detected.
Sales and Returns

Return Policy:

Products may not be returned or refunded once installed or used, due to the potential for cosmetic damage that could render the products unsellable.
In the case of defective products received, contact us immediately for potential replacement options, subject to our review and approval.
No Warranty: All products are provided "as is" without any express or implied warranty. In no event shall we be liable for any damages arising from the use or inability to use our products.

Customer Obligations

Accurate Information: You commit to providing accurate and current information when using our website or making purchases and to update such information promptly.

Compliance with Laws: You agree to use our products in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.

Indemnification and Dispute Resolution

Indemnification: You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Starlink Roof Mounts and our affiliates, officers, agents, partners, and employees from any claim or demand made by any third party due to or arising out of your breach of these terms or your violation of any law or the rights of a third party.

Governing Law and Jurisdiction: These terms are governed by the laws of South Africa. Any disputes arising from these terms will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of South African courts.

Amendments and Termination

Changes to Terms: We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. Your continued use of the website and our products following any such modification constitutes your acceptance of the new terms.

Termination: We reserve the right to terminate your access to our website and services without notice, should you violate any of these terms.
